As a child I always dreamt of being a doctor but as I grew up, I realised that medicine was not really meant for me. Decided to move on to art but destiny took me to journalism. Writing has always been a passion, I started off with making penpals and today I have over 70 penpals from over 50 countries.
I persued a Bachelore's degree in Journalism from the Delhi University in 2001 also I did internship at the Indian Express for a while in 2000. Immediately after graduation I joined the India Today Group as a sub-editor. Till sometime back I was with a paper called The Pioneer. I was managing the Op-Ed page there... but right now I am on leave..yes! a year's leave..and Iam planning to persue my biggest dream of life...TRAVEL!
Photography happens to be my passion. Thats one thing I want to persue in my life. My hobbies include letter writing (hardcore snail mail penpalling), painting and travelling. I like the spirit of adventure and love travelling specially to the mountains! Take me there anyday!
Music is something I can't live without. My favourites include Enya, Michael Learns To Rock, Elvis Presley, Lucky Ali, Bryan Adams, Marc Anthony, etc. And some english classical too..my fave being Vivaldi...but then tastes do keep changing!
On a personal front...well its a small family with my parents and a younger sister...my dad is an economist...and my ideal..ma is an artist, writer, and the one who has made us all...and my sister Radhika is persuing her Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics...we all really miss her a lot for being away from us but then thats life I guess!
